Custom Effect Pedal Carpetliner Light Duty Road Case - 1/4" Ply

I had some pretty specific requests with this and they were granted perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their cases. This is the fourth case I've bought from them over the years, and certainly won't be the last.

The only issue I have is the case needs one additional handle to make for easy lifting, especially with 2 people.

This was actually my 2nd case of this model. The 1st one was a smaller size and I outgrew it after about a year or so. This time I ordered the largest of these cases to use as my guitar foot pedal effect board. I am VERY happy with these cases. It's the best value in a quality case that I could find. I modified my case by adding a very thin plywood liner on the bottom where the guitar pedals go. Industrial strength Velcro sticks better to bare wood than the carpeted interior of the case. Underneath that plywood lining I put a 14"x6" 16 gauge steel plate so that I could bolt a mounting flange for a mic stand (I do that to save stage space...I just screw a mic stand into the flange I mounted on the pedal board.) The thin steel plate spreads the pressure of the mic stand in case it gets hit or pushed while mounted inside the case and doesn't break through the case plywood. I also took some L-bracing and reinforced the lid, but I'm not sure it needed it. The case is advertised as a medium duty case, and it is. I just added a little reinforcement for my peace of mind just in case something fell into it while it was on the truck. This is an exceptional value in a pedal board case. Plus the fast delivery was awesome!

I received my case about a week ago. All of the hardware is very solid. The latches are very secure. 1/4" thickness is definitely sufficient for my needs. I got the 20x28. Only thing is, for a pedalboard, this case will slip when you step on your pedals because the back is slick. That's great for transport, but not for stomping. I knew this ahead of time, so I added some speaker cabinet feet. Since this board is so big and has a wah on board, I added 8 feet - 1 about 3" off each corner and a set of 4 on a 12-14" square in the center. It doesn't slip at all now. Would be nice if it came like that already, but the addition was only about $12 and 1 hour of time. The rivets are a bit different than I expected - more like a brad than a rivet. Time will tell on those. So far, I'm very please. Purchase was effortless. Case arrived in less than 1 week to the East Coast.
